Literacy & Reading Initiative, After-School Education Program, and the Safe Haven Youth Initiative — a stable start for kids and families.
Mending Hearts And Homes Family Outreach, Inc. (MHHFO) builds stronger youth, families and communities across Alabama through mentoring, literacy, leadership and family support — under one framework: Roots • Wings • Grow.
Our mission
MHHFO is an Alabama nonprofit — incorporated in 2002 and recognized under section 501(c)(3) — serving children, youth, families, single mothers and veterans through literacy, mentoring, leadership development and family support.
Every program runs under one framework: Roots to build a strong foundation, Wings to develop skills and confidence, and Grow to move individuals and communities forward.
